Dr. Andrew Lin is a Board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who is currently in active clinical practice who can provide you with accurate, timely and evidence based OB/GYN expert witness and reviewer advice for your case. Dr. Lin is currently an OBGYN expert witness reviewer consultant to the Medical Board of California.
He has been practicing OB/GYN for over 20 years. He has extensive experience in a diverse range of clinical settings including private practice, managed care, county hospitals, hospital sponsored practices and laborist or OB/GYN hospitalist medicine. In addition to the diverse breadth of clinical practice experience, Dr. Lin has significant administrative and peer review experience as he has held and currently holds leadership positions within his current organizations. As a former national medical director for a leading OB Hospitalist company, he traveled throughout the country leading and managing OB/GYN Hospitalist programs, teams and physicians. He also serves as the current medical director for a hospital based center for women's health. Dr. Lin received a Masters degree from USC in Medical Management, uniquely enhancing his skills in medical, business and administrative affairs. He has also held clinical faculty positions at leading universities. Dr. Lin is a founding member of the Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists.
He is well qualified to render opinions in many areas in women’s health such as high risk obstetrics, gynecology, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, urogynecology, pelvic prolapse, and incontinence. Dr. Lin adheres to the American College of OB/GYN (ACOG) standards on expert witness testimony. His focus is on evidence based medicine, providing balanced opinions, and providing legal counsel with opinions based on the literature when possible. Legal counsel will be provided with an honest assessment of their case, regardless if representing the plaintiff or defendant.
Dr. Lin is uniquely qualified to provide expert OB/GYN legal services/advice and consulting services. Dr. Lin has been working as a medical expert for the Medical Board of California since 2002. He also is intimately involved in on-going hospital and clinic based safety and quality monitoring and initiatives.
He can also provide hospitals with consulting services for Women’s Health such as second opinion peer review, improving patient safety in Labor and Delivery, operating room and clinics and assistance with developing a highly reliable perinatal unit.
